Unity is at the heart of Africa. Which is why our ‘Play For Life’ partnership with the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) will donate proceeds from the sale of our PUMA Africa Unity Kit, Play for Life Tee, and Kehinde Wiley Lacelets to support biodiversity projects in Africa.
Inspired by the Continent’s sun, vast skies, and rich soil, the Africa Unity Kit is the world’s first ‘continental football kit,’ designed to be worn by PUMA’s African Football national teams in 2010.
A portion of the profits from the sale of PUMA's Africa Unity Kit and the replica fanwear will be allocated to programs that support biodiversity in Africa, in partnership with UNEP's Year of Biodiversity 2010.

The Unity Kit’s unique colourway pulls from the passion and grit of the some of the Continent’s greatest play grounds. The brown pantone was created by mixing actual soil samples from Ghana, Ivory Coast, South Africa, and Cameroon.

AFRICAN ELEPHANTS
This project creates and preserves forest migration corridors that are vital for elephant survival and safeguards the biodiversity of the forests that the local communities that depend on.
GRASP (Great Apes Survival Partnership)
GRASP protects the endangered populations of Great Apes in Equatorial Africa and South East Asia and the forests which these animals and communities depend on for their existence.
AFRICAN LIONS
Endangered lions in Africa need protected ranges to thrive. Zambia can support new self-sustaining lion populations, but needs a national management strategy and current population estimate. This project will address these needs and secure a new kingdom for these animals.

Butterfly-smooches
- String the lace across the bottom, through the first pair �of eyelets, from the back.
- Twist lace ends back underneath the previously laced �section, under the shoe�s side.
- Crisscross the lace ends, then �string them outward, through the �next pair of eyelets, from the back.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until �you �get to the top pair of eyelets.
Four-letter-word-for-funky
- String the lace, from the back, through the second pair �of eyelets �from the bottom. Then string lace ends downward and thread the string through the bottom eyelets from the front.
- Crisscross the lace ends and string them, from the �back, through the third pair �of eyelets.
- String the lace ends downward over the eyerows and string them under the vertical lace sections at the eyelets below. Finally, crisscross the lace ends and string them, from the back, through the next empty pair of eyelets.
- Repeat last step, then tuck lace ends into the side of the shoe.
Ohh-lala
- Hold two different colored laces together and string them across the bottom and  through the eyelets from the back.
- Crisscross the laces by crossing the  ends, then stringing them into the next  pair of eyelets from the back. This should  make the second color visible.
- Repeat step 2 until you get to  the top.
Frequent-flier-miles
- Begin with two laces. Start at the bottom �by stringing one lace across the front, up under the eyerow, and back across until �you get to the top.
- Using the other lace, begin �at the bottom and weave �the lace in and out �of �the first lace until �you �get to the top.
- Fold across the top �lace and make your way �back down, stringing in �and out until you get to �the bottom.
- Continue lacing across the �shoe until you are out of room �or lace and tuck lace ends �into the shoe.
Stairway-to-heaven
- String the lace across the bottom and  through both eyelets from the front. Shift the lace so that the left end is shorter  than the right end by about one inch.
- String the right end under the eyerow and  through the next eyelet, then string it  straight across and through the  opposite eyelet from the front.
- String the other end up  and through the first empty  eyelet, then straight across through the opposite eyelet  from the front.
- Repeat step 3 with both  lace ends until the left end  reaches the top left eyelet and the right end reaches the  eyelet below it. Tuck ends into  the side of the shoe.
Tasmanian-devil
- String the lace across the bottom and through the eyelets  from the back.
- String the left end up the left side of the shoe, feeding  it  under the eyerow and up through each eyelet. Leave enough  slack in the lace for the other lace end  to loop around it.
- String the right end up the right  side of the shoe, looping it through  the left end in the middle of the  shoe and then up through the next  eyelet until you get to the top.
Secret-agent-000
- String the lace across the bottom and through  the eyelets from the back.
- String the ends straight up over the eyerows and  through  the next pair of eyelets.
- Crisscross the lace ends and string them  through the next pair of eyelets, from  the back, up the shoe.
- Repeat step 2 until you get to the top  pair of eyelets.
Around-the-way-FETE
- String the lace across the bottom and through the eyelets �from the back. Then diagonally string one end up the shoe and through the �front of the top right eyelet.
- After that, diagonally string the right �lace end up through the next �eyelet on the left, then up �underneath the eyerow and �through the above eyelet.
- Diagonally string that lace �down into the empty eyelet.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you �get to the top.
The-great-bubblegum-mishap
- String laces across the second pair of eyelets  and through the eyelets from the back.
- Crisscross the lace ends behind the straight  section, then string them from the back into the  fourth pair of eyelets. After that, crisscross the laces and string  them from the front through the  bottom pair of eyelets.
- String the laces straight up  behind the eyerows and through  the third pair of eyelets.  Crisscross the laces and pull  them through the second pair  of eyelets.
- Tuck lace ends into the sides of  the shoe.
Thought-bubbles
- String the lace across the bottom and through the eyelets  from the back. Then string both ends straight up and through the next pair of eyelets.
- Crisscross the ends and string them under the vertical lace section you just made on the opposite shoe side, then run them up and through the next pair of eyelets.
- Repeat step 2 until you get to the top pair  of eyelets.
- At the top pair, crisscross the lace again and pass them under the vertical section  as shown.
